HOSPIC charity programme

We believe flowers can express feelings when words are not enough. That is why we offer the option to use each purchase to support people facing some of life's most difficult moments.

At the end of the purchase, you have the option to donate to the Slovenian Hospice Society 5%, 10% or an amount of your choice. The donation is voluntary and completely transparent, and its purpose is to support programs that restore dignity, support and the feeling that they are not alone to people in need.

As an online flower shop, we also dedicate every year 15% profit to the Slovenian Hospice Society. This is part of our long-term commitment to social responsibility, compassion and community support.

How your donation helps

Donations help sustain and develop the programmes of Slovensko društvo Hospic. The association works through 12 local committees across Slovenia and provides four key support programmes:

• Hospice - monitoring the dying and their relatives at home, where they offer comprehensive support at the end of life.
• Bereavement support adults, children and adolescents, which helps to cope with the loss of a loved one.
• Detabooing Death, with which the association opens a space for conversation about dying, death, mourning and life.
• Volunteering, which represents the heart of the association's activities and is based on the dedication of qualified volunteers.

To run all its programmes, the association needs to raise around 30% of its funding from donations and its own resources each year. Every contribution is therefore valuable.

The difference your support makes

Your donation makes the following possible:

• support for more than 1,500 people at the end of life and their loved ones each year, improving their quality of life and helping them through difficult times,
• support for more than 900 bereaved people — adults, children and young people — each year as they cope with loss and return to everyday life,
• the organisation of Camp Lionheart every year, which helps bereaved children and young people to move forward in a safe and supportive way,
• support and further training for more than 200 volunteers, who together complete more than 22,000 volunteer hours annually,
• the organisation of more than 600 events and trainings each year to help change attitudes towards dying, death, grief and life in Slovenia.
