FINISH: long and fresh. At 110 m above sea level between Koper and Trieste, in the idyllic village of Plavje, the Klenar family tends 11 hectares of vineyards. Their location offers excellent conditions for well-known varieties: Malvasia, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and the indigenous Refosco. Klen'art has one of the most interesting logos among Slovenian winemakers: the yellow-gold frame is the sun, because there is no good wine without sun; blue is the sea, yellow the soil, purple the colour of the indigenous Istrian Refosco, and red stands for the blood and heart of the winemaker who made this wine.
